‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Shocks Viewers by Cracking a $65K Puzzle in Seconds

A Minnesota woman stunned viewers — and host Ryan Seacrest — with one of the fastest Bonus Round solves on Wheel of Fortune, walking away with $65,650.

A Slow Start, Strong Comeback

Delinda Rood of Rosemount, Minnesota, faced off against Justin Zamora and Shateria Smith on the November 4 episode. After a quiet start, she gained momentum by solving the toss-up “Practical Joker” for $2,000.

Zamora scored big with “Candy Girl You Are My World,” winning $12,549 and a trip to Norway. Smith, an author and entrepreneur, picked up the One Million Dollar Wedge after solving “Summer & Boot Camp.”

Rood Takes Control

Rood seized the lead by solving “Spoil Yourself At The Spa,” winning a trip to Scottsdale and boosting her total to $10,950. She dominated the triple toss-ups and later secured a Bonus Round spot by solving “A Tough Nut To Crack,” finishing the main game with $20,650.

Lightning-Fast Bonus Round

Choosing “Around the House,” Rood selected M, V, K, and A, revealing the puzzle: _ARM _ _ _LT.

Almost instantly, she answered, “Warm Quilt!” — stunning Seacrest and the audience. The envelope revealed an extra $45,000, bringing her final total to $65,650.

“You didn’t even have to think about it!” Seacrest said.

Rood smiled: “I knew it.”

Her quick instincts turned the Bonus Round into a moment fans won’t forget.
