Dark, waxy, itchy bumps on an older adult’s neck are usually Seborrheic keratosis, a common, harmless skin growth that appears with age.
They are typically brown or black, slightly raised, and look “stuck on.” Most don’t need treatment unless they itch, bleed, or bother him.
However, if a bump changes, grows quickly, has uneven edges, multiple colors, or bleeds, it could be something more serious, like Melanoma, and should be checked by a doctor.
