Cambodian Defence Ministry Spokesperson: Thai Military Jet Allegedly Sprayed Toxic Gas over Cambodian Forces in Anseh (Video Inside)
Phnom Penh – On the afternoon of July 27, 2025, at precisely 3:17 PM, Cambodian Ministry of Defence spokesperson Maly Socheata stated that a Thai military aircraft dropped toxic gas over Cambodian troops stationed in the Anseh area, Preah Vihear province.
She delivered this claim during a Cambodian government press briefing held July 28, describing the 5th day of Thai military incursions into Cambodian sovereign territory.
According to Ms. Socheata:
“At 15:17 hours, a Thai aircraft sprayed poisonous gas at Anseh.”
The briefing came after three days of intense hostilities, which began on July 24, 2025, at Ta Muen Thom Temple in Oddar Meanchey province — escalating rapidly across border zones between Cambodia and Thailand.
