The release follows months of staggered document drops throughout December and January, during which federal staff reviewed millions of pages of emails, photographs, and investigative records.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"522\" data-end=\"648\">According to the Department of Justice, the final batch includes more than 300 high-profile names referenced within the files.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\"><\/div>\n<p data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"858\">Bondi\u2019s letter clarified that a separate compilation was included identifying individuals \u201cwho are or were a government official or politically exposed person\u201d and who appeared at least once in the documents.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"860\" data-end=\"941\">She emphasized that inclusion in the records does not imply criminal involvement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"1101\">\u201cReferences appear in a wide variety of contexts,\u201d Bondi wrote, adding that being named \u201cdoes not assume any guilt or wrongdoing\u201d related to Epstein\u2019s crimes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-6\"><\/div>\n<p data-start=\"1103\" data-end=\"1318\">She further stated that no documents were withheld or redacted \u201con the basis of embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity, including to any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1320\" data-end=\"1773\">The released materials contain references to political leaders, royalty, and entertainment figures. Among those named are Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Barack and Michelle Obama, Benjamin Netanyahu, Princess Diana, Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as public figures such as Barbara Streisand, Amy Schumer, Bruce Springsteen, Kim Kardashian, Bill Cosby, and Robert De Niro. The list also includes deceased cultural icons like Janis Joplin and Elvis Presley.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1775\" data-end=\"2037\">Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche noted that the names appear in a range of contexts. Some individuals had documented communications with Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell, while others were mentioned in passing, such as in news articles or email chains.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\"><\/div>\n<p data-start=\"2039\" data-end=\"2353\">\u201cThe only category of records withheld were those records where permitted withholdings under Section 2(c) and privileged materials were not segregable from material responsive under Section 2(a),\u201d the letter stated. Redact only the survivor\u2019s names.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3394\" data-end=\"3786\">Attorneys representing Epstein\u2019s victims have also expressed concern over privacy protections. They stated that some released materials included email addresses and nude images that could potentially identify survivors. The DOJ acknowledged that certain documents were temporarily posted in error due to \u201ctechnical or human error\u201d and said the affected files were removed after being flagged.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3788\" data-end=\"3904\">The Justice Department maintains that it has complied fully with the statutory requirements of the Transparency Act.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3906\" data-end=\"4160\">\u201cIn accordance with the requirements of the Act\u2026 the Department released all \u2018records, documents, communications and investigative materials in the possession of the Department\u2019 that \u2018relate to\u2019 any of nine different categories,\u201d Bondi and Blanche wrote.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1738017579584-0\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-start=\"4162\" data-end=\"4517\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">While the release marks a significant development in public access to Epstein-related records, debate continues over whether the disclosures provide sufficient clarity regarding investigative decisions and potential accountability.
